from Gene Constant, author

Breast Envy & the Alpha FemaleAvailable now @ Amazon.com Puberty for girls. This book should be a “must read” for little girls, a book every mother would want to give to her daughter, to help both mother and daughter through some confusing portions of the little girl’s life. This book is also an important resource for fathers, so that they may also understand and help their daughter(s) during these important changes as their little girl physically matures as a part of the puberty process. If the little girl has brothers or boys who are friends, these boys would find the book helpful in their understanding as to what is happening to changes in their relationship.

Little boys are oftentimes hurt and puzzled as to why familiar games and activities are no longer acceptable to their female friend. As adults, we must understand that children see very little difference between boys and girls. Before there are female breasts and male facial hair, they seem all alike; with perhaps the exception that girls have longer hair. During student life, the boy’s understanding will reduce friction and anger, and will help the boy(s) to understand that the changes taking place with the little girl are nothing to be afraid of.

Fear, afraid? Yes. It is a human trait to fear that which they do not understand. And, what people do not understand, they tend to hurt or destroy. A boy’s enlightenment will go far to integrate the genders in ways heretofore unimagined. Understanding the contents of this book should go far to reducing emotional barriers that are built at this young age, barriers that oftentimes last a lifetime, as the genders tend to segregate during puberty development and each are viewed by the other as alien, as behavior and appearance begin to contrast at a perceived exponential rate.

Many may wonder how a man can objectively write about breasts. Many of my friends have asked me what motivated me to consider the topic, and what enabled me to write dispassionately (almost), with so little attention given to the sexualization of the breast.

Oddly enough, I have frequently entertained myself why watching various dating shows on television, and was struck by how verbally, and occasionally physically violent women are towards the girl with the biggest boobs. My favorite dating television show is Elimidate, where four contestants of the same gender will compete for the favor of an individual of the opposite gender. Within the thirty-minute show, they are introduced for the first time, and are eliminated until one is chosen by that other gendered person.

With rare exception, when there are four girls competing to be selected by the guy, if one woman stands out from the group by being born with, or paying to have a two or more cup size advantage over the others; the less endowed ladies morph into animals. The girls on the show instantly direct their anger towards the larger breasted girl, and do their very best to embarrass and harass her off of the show. I have watched many of the episodes during which the guy is left watching the cat fights, with little attention focused on him until Miss Big Boobs is off the show or has been selected.

The girls’ behavior was so consistent, so persistent as to be predictable. During a lull in our conversation one day, my wonder over this behavior caused me to ask my good friend Daisy  the 411. Her reply led to a subsequent full interview with her and many other girls, the content of which motivated me to share all that I have heard and researched with you.

Without a doubt, regardless of gender or age, the female breast is the most admired and desired body part of the human anatomy.

The purpose of this book is to explain the breast’s importance from:

  • a historical perspective. There are over twenty-five thousand years of perspective, from which we shall review certain moments in time.
  • an instinctual perspective, as a source of security and food. Many will be surprised to learn the role of breasts amongst girls and women, the alpha female and other hierarchical issues.
  • a parental perspective, you will learn how the immediate family is impacted when a little girl starts to grow breasts, and the impact of this natural event upon her relationship with both father and mother.
  • a sexual perspective, some attributes will amaze many of both genders.
  • a matter of life and death. Breast cancer and reconstructive surgery shall be explored.

While the sexualization of the breast and their impact upon relationships between men & women is obvious, some lesser-known matters shall be explored.

Lastly, it is tragic to know how devastating breast cancer is to women. Most people still do not know that this disease is the leading cause of death to women and some men. With this book, we also hope to increase awareness of this devastating illness.
